PROJECT: Construction of Dhofar Municipality Main Building at Salalah CLIENT: Dhofar Municipality, Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. CONSULTANT: Engineering Innovation Design & Consultancy (EIDC) Surrounded by mountains on one side and the vast Arabian sea on the other, Salalah, the southernmost city of the Sultanate buzzes with activities of tourism. Salalah is the second largest city in the Sultanate and it is the traditional capital of the Dhofar province.
The main office of Dhofar Muncipality, is a traditionally inspired, locally incepted state of the art intelligent building. It will come to represent an urban cultural icon which will be an amalgamation of the rich past, diverse cultures, and urban infrastructure elements. The building will be a symbol that marries culture with nature. The building will consist of a courtyard, an auditorium, a history park, and indoor eco gardens.
