Today one of the biggest challenges, the governments of the world, are facing is waste management. It is believed that future wars will be fought over potable water and waste menace. Therefore, newer avenues are being explored to recycle waste or convert it to an energy form. SMC Infrastructures is working in the areas of treating sewage and treating solid municipal waste. The Municipal Solid Waste Management plant in North Goa, a first of its kind in India, had been commissioned to SMC. This plant can treat maximum waste, generate electricity, and compost, and is able to recycle up to 90% of the waste, making it a huge milestone in waste treatment.

MSW NORTH GOA
The first MSW plant in Saligao, South Goa was launched with a capacity of 100 TPD, which was extended to a total capacity of 250 TPD. Seeing its successful operations, a new plant was commissioned in South Goa which is now functional and has a capacity to handle 100 TPD.
