SINAW

Water Distribution Network, Oman
Construction of Water Distribution Network in Sinaw is the first international project bagged by SMC in the Sultnate of Oman, facing stiff competition from many international infrastructure companies. The objective of this project was to improve the water supply for 18 villages in the Sinaw area in the Sharqiyah region, which is 200 kms from Muscat. The source of water is the Sur Desalination Plant. The current population of the Sinaw area is 10,800 people and is expected to grow to 24,000 people by 2035. TANZANIA

The Water Solution, Africa
The project was an extention of the Lake Victoria Pipeline Water Supply Project to Tabora, Nzega and Igunga towns by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation. It included laying 602.29km of water pipeline and was executed as a joint venture with Afcons.

Water Supply Project, Oman

MALAWI

20 MLD Water Supply Project, East Africa
The project of Construction of New Water Supply System from Likhubula River in Mulanje to Blantyre Water Supply Area in Malawi in challenging geographical terrains at Mulanje Mountain is another benchmark work of SMC Infrastructure. The 23.5 million projects were funded by Exim Bank of India’s GOI-Supported Line of Credit (LOC) to The Government of Malawi to provide reliable and affordable water supply services to the population of Blantyre City and its surrounding areas covering a total area of over 81,500 hectares.

MALDIVES

Water & Sewerage Facilities
In a landmark initiative, we have designed and built Water and Sewage facilities in 13 islands of Maldives, funded by EXIM bank. The objective of this project was to construct water treatment plants on each island with reverse osmosis systems, and RTP tanks for storing the treated & harvested rainwater for distribution. The design has been worked up on to accommodate population growth up to the year 2035. Furthermore, the challenge of executing the brine outfalls for these islands was overcome with the Horizontal Direct Drilling method, achieving a maximum continuous distance of 542 meters from the shoreline. This project is a testament to SMC’s commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing advanced methodologies to provide vital water and sewerage solutions for the people of Maldives.

Rehabilitation & Expansion of Water Supply Network
In Greater Banjul Area

Replacement of Asbestos water pipes with UPVC pipes executed under the funding of LOC by EXIM Bank of India. It was executed as a joint venture with Shapoorji Pallonji.
