At SMC, we firmly believe that our people—our staff—are our most valuable asset. Our open-door policy reflects this belief, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and a people-first approach in every decision we make. The health, safety, and overall well-being of our team are of utmost importance to us.

We place the highest importance on the safety of our on-site workforce. To ensure a secure working environment, all workers are equipped with essential protective gear such as helmets, safety jackets, and harnesses. Regular safety audits are carried out to maintain compliance and reduce risks.

We believe that a happy team is a strong team. That’s why we organize fun and engaging events like cricket and kabaddi matches to encourage team bonding and enjoyment with our extended work family.

Additionally, we run several welfare initiatives that directly benefit our laborers and their families, including setting up educational support for their children. For our managerial and site teams, we host retreats and team-building activities that provide the opportunity to reconnect, relax, and recharge.

Thanks to these robust employee engagement efforts, SMC is proud to have an incredibly low attrition rate. Many of our team members have been with us for over 30 years—a true reflection of the nurturing, inclusive culture we have built and sustained over time.
